tSpark offers two email solutions. We partner with Google to provide Google Apps for your domain in a fully supported model. We also offer our own email hosting.

tSpark Mail comes free with your website hosting plan. However, we also offer these plans independently (without Web hosting) for people who are just looking for email hosting.

NOTE: Google offers many services, in addition to email, through your Google Apps account. While you will have access to those services, user support for those services (if requested) may incur additional fees. Your agreement with tSpark includes support for email only.

What is POP & IMAP Email?

POP (Post Office Protocol) & IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) are both standard email protocols for email retrieval from a remote server, but each one works a bit differently.

Basically, POP Mail is downloaded from a mail server to your computer, but is removed from the server once it's opened. POP mail is beneficial because it uses very little server space and you can access your downloaded messages without Internet connection.

IMAP is two-way email management. Any changes you make to IMAP is stored on a remote server. It is commonly used for checking your emails on multiple devices. For example, any email you read on your mobile device will be marked as read and accessible later via webmail or your personal computer. IMAP messages are not accessible however without an Internet connection.
